Reconstruct Hare Krishna temple in Russia: BJP

New Delhi: BJP today asked Government to seek Russian government’s intervention to ensure reconstruction of a demolished Hare Krishna temple in Moscow.
Raising the issue during the Zero Hour Lok Sabha, BPJ’s Deputy Leader V K Malhotra said a new temple should be allowed to be constructed since the existing one was demolished. The design for the new temple has also been approved, he said.
Claiming that the Mayor of London and some influential bodies have supported the reconstruction of the temple, Malhotra said an orthodox group in Russia was opposing it.
