The continuous desecration of Hindu temples in Fiji has been highlighted in an American government report.
The US State Department's annual report on worldwide religious freedom said generally the situation in the Pacific is good, with almost all countries allowing freedom of worship.
Speaking to ABC news, US Ambassador to Fiji, Larry Dinger said however that in Fiji a particular community continues to be victims of such acts.
Also mention in the report is continuing efforts by some within the Methodist church of Fiji to make Fiji a Christian state.
Dinger said it's hard to judge as the Constitution clearly said that Fiji is a place for religious freedom and vast majority of people agree with that.
