The Conversion Agenda

"Freedom to convert" is counterproductive as a generalized doctrine. It fails to come to terms with the complex interrelationships between self and society that make the concept of individual choice meaningful. Hence, religious conversion undermines, and in extremes would dissolve, that individual autonomy and human freedom.

Malayasia Hindu Sangam Schedules Emergency Meeting on Christian Conversion

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, December 14, 2004: The Malaysia Hindu Sangam issued the following announcement today:

At a special emergency meeting of Hindu Organization leaders on the above subject held on December 11, 2004, at Malaysian Hindu Sangam Headquarters, it was decided that a special meeting be held to formulate a strategic plan to reduce or stop the rate of conversions which are now seriously being conducted by Christians especially in South Johor and Kinta Valley, Perak. This meeting will be held December 26, 2:30 pm, at Sivananda Ashram, Divine Life Society Malaysia Branch, Batu Caves, Selangor.
