The Conversion Agenda

"Freedom to convert" is counterproductive as a generalized doctrine. It fails to come to terms with the complex interrelationships between self and society that make the concept of individual choice meaningful. Hence, religious conversion undermines, and in extremes would dissolve, that individual autonomy and human freedom.

Clearing Misconceptions: Hospital evangelism in action

Most of the people around the world have a misconception that Christian hospitals are a pure charity activity though missionaries openly claim their true intentions (i.e., to convert people to Christianity). Here is a list of current (asof 10/20/2006) job openings in India in hospitals operated by Southern Baptists of USA. Every job description clearly defines the role the medical practitioner is expected in play.


Job IMB Job# 78299 clearly states the intention for setting up hospital. In their own words "Since its founding, the hospital has been the avenue and door for evangelism and church planting efforts by Southern Baptists in S. India."
