Mrs. Hinn prays for Sonia and her family

On the last say of the evangelical show at Bangalore, Benny Hinn’s wife, Suzanne Hinn, called on stage one Grace Brenta, describing her as a good friend of Sonia Gandhi, and a wonderful Christian. Suzanne Hinn wearing a salwar kameez prayed for the welfare of Sonia and her children Rahul and Priyanka thus: “May He (Jesus) bless the women in the government (perhaps this included Jayalalithaa also who had withdrawn the anti-conversion act). May the Lord’s (Jesus’) word of wisdom come from their mouths. May blessings be upon their Children and household.

Among the dignitaries who attended the evangelical program were Chief Minister Dharma Singh and his wife Prabhavati, Minister R.V. Deshpande, Power Minister H. D Revanna and his wife. Among others were the wife of a High Court Judge, several MPs and MLAs.

An Income Tax Commissioner, Arun S. Bhatnagar, came on stage and said, ‘God is Love and Love is god,’ to which Hinn added, “That is what the Bible says”. “That is what Hinduism also says,” was the Commissioner’s reply.

Winfred Fernandez, MLC, prayed for Hinn’s detractors: “Please pray for those who oppose the event. Bless those who oppose precious people greatly. Let them have peace of heart, mind and soul,” she prayed.
