The Conversion Agenda

"Freedom to convert" is counterproductive as a generalized doctrine. Karnataka CM likens the US evangelist to Swami Vivekananda

‘The Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, had started the process of Christianizing the country”, charged the Leader of the opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Mr. Yediyurappa. ‘Benny Hinn conducted the religious program to convert Hindus to Christianity and the Karnataka Chief Minister had facilitated Mr. Benny Hinn’s design,’ he said referring to the permission given to the US evangelist, Hinn, for his evangelical crusade at Bangalore. The Chief Minister N. Dharam Sing strongly defended the permission given to the evangelist to hold the religious meet and said Hindu religious leaders such as Swami Vivekananda and Rajneesh too had gone abroad to propagate Hinduism. He turned down the BJP demand for his resignation for attending the program and said “I am not here to resign, I am here to rule.”

Referring to the CM Dharam Singh and other VIPs gathered at the evangelical show, Benny Hin said: “these leaders have a hunger for God. They are seeking a touch from Heaven. They have strong leadership (Sonia Gandhi?) and stood by a beleaguered community (Christians).

Regarding his participation in the Hinn’s evangelical show, the C M, Dharam Sing said: “It was my personal faith and belief (in Christianity?) that made me to attend the prayer meet.”
