The Conversion Agenda

"Freedom to convert" is counterproductive as a generalized doctrine. It fails to come to terms with the complex interrelationships between self and society that make the concept of individual choice meaningful. Hence, religious conversion undermines, and in extremes would dissolve, that individual autonomy and human freedom.

Seers Flay Conversion

Chitradurga Bruhan Mutt seer Shivamurthy said that the poverty and ignorance are the main reasons for the conversion in our country.

Addressing the gathering at Matadakurubara Hatti, after an awareness rally in the village against the conversion of religion, he said some religious people are taking, poverty, illiteracy and ignorance of various sections as an opportunity. They are providing articles, commodities to convert them and this should have to be protested by public.

He said that Hindu culture has a rich cultural values and this has been recognised by all other countries in the world. However, some religions are trying to convert the Hindus, it has to be stopped in the country.

Seer Basavaprabhu Ketheswara, seer Madara Chennaiah and others conduted padayatra in the village to create awareness regarding the conversion of religion.

DC visited the village and handed over the compensation cheque. Noor Mansoor, AC, and others accompanied him.
