The Conversion Agenda

"Freedom to convert" is counterproductive as a generalized doctrine. It fails to come to terms with the complex interrelationships between self and society that make the concept of individual choice meaningful. Hence, religious conversion undermines, and in extremes would dissolve, that individual autonomy and human freedom.

Protect Himalayan culture—Indresh Kumar

Akhil Bharatiya Sah-Sampark Pramukh of RSS, Shri Indresh Kumar has alleged that the Church is trying to ruin the Himalayan culture and languages. He called upon the people of Himalayan region to oppose the move to save their region from destruction. He was speaking at a meeting of Himalaya Parivar activists from the northeastern states in New Delhi recently. Delegates from Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Mizoram, Assam and Tibet participated in the meeting, which was held on November 29. Members of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh also attended the meeting.

Shri Indresh Kumar said that the Church had tried to divide and instigate the people against each other. “People of the hill region will have to understand the conspiracy and also remove the atmosphere of hate and differences. The problems and threats to the people of mountains are common. Therefore, all people of the region should sit together to find a solution to the threats,” he added.
