Church plans to Convert 5,000 Villagers in Andhra Pradesh in May

Pastor G. Balasundaram of the Holy Gospel Ministries in the Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, India announced that his church will be conducting a "Gospel Crusades" program on may 17-19th to convert many of the local impoverished citizens to Christianity. The "Gospel Crusades" program will be held in Nidubrolu, Ponnur Mandel, Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh. Balasundaram expects to baptize at least 25 people and another 3-5,000 villagers are expected to be brought in by the Church from distant villages. In addition, he hoped that he could also convert many of these villagers who attended the function as well.

Balasundaram, who has being working as a missionary in the region for the past 19 years, brags that his group has built 19 churches in the surrounding villages. He says his organisation is currently in hold of 12 orphans and 21 widows, whom they have already converted to Christianity. "These children were brought from different villages." he said, adding that the many of these helpless children were forced to seek shelter with the Church after their parents were lost in the recent Tsunami and other disasters.

"It was unexpected and many villages are drowned in the flood. Thousands of people, children and old aged were dead. Thousands of houses are washed way and the whole of their belongings were driven in the flow of flood," he continued. "For your kind information few of the villages which affected by flood are our gospel outreach villages. We regularly visit them and preach the gospel."
