Christian Militants Kill 3 Soldiers and Driver in Tripura

Outlawed NLFT ultras shot dead three BSF jawans and their driver and injured seven in Tripura's Dhalai district today.
The tribal guerillas took away three Self-Loading Rifles and a huge cache of ammunition from the slain jawans.
Police said armed National Liberation Front of Tripura militants attacked a BSF patrol party at bordering Raishabari. Three para-military personnel and their driver died on the spot.Three jawans and four civilian labourers were also seriously injured in the attack. They were shifted to government hospital.
The jawans were escorting the civilian labourers engaged in border fencing work. The victims were travelling in two vehicles when the ultras belonging to Biswamohan faction hurled grenades and sprayed bullets at them from a hill top close to the Chittagong Hill Tracts of south-east Bangladesh.
Senior police and BSF officials, led by Superintendent of Police Arindam Nath, have rushed to the spot,130-km from here, along with reinforcement and launched a combing operation to nab the rebels who might have crossed the Indo-Bangla border.
The victims were Ram Babu(havilder), Biswajit Sinha and N Narayanan, both riflemen, and Mukesh Rai, driver.
The tribal guerillas struck before the civic body election scheduled for December 16. Earlier, NLFT rebels had shot dead two Tripura State Rifles jawans at Champahour in West Tripura.
